This privacy policy explains what happens to your data when you visit mahjongmalaysia.com. We wrote it in plain language, and we keep it short because the site collects almost nothing.
What our privacy policy covers
We do not collect personal data through the website. In particular:
- No cookies. The site sets no cookies of any kind.
- No analytics or tracking. There are no analytics tools, advertising tags or social media pixels.
- No JavaScript. The pages are plain HTML and CSS, so nothing runs in your browser to profile you.
- No forms. You can't submit data to us through the site.
Server logs at our web host
Like every website, our pages are delivered by a hosting server. When your browser requests a page, the server receives technical information such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type. Hosting providers typically keep these logs for a limited time for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
Fonts
Our two typefaces, Cormorant Garamond and Source Sans 3, are stored on our own server. So your browser does not contact Google or any other font service when you read the site. Both fonts are free under the SIL Open Font License.
When you email us
If you write to hello@mahjongmalaysia.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and, where you send a correction or event, to check and update the site. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your details. Ask us at any time to delete your messages, and we will.
Your rights in Malaysia
Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 gives you rights over personal data that businesses process, including the right to access and correct it. Because we hold only the emails you send us, any request about your data simply means emailing us. You can read more about the law from the Personal Data Protection Department.

Our guides link to other sites, such as rule references, event organisers and shops. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. Read more about how we choose links on our about page.
