Contact us

The quickest way to reach Mahjong Malaysia is email. We read every message and reply within a few working days.

To contact us, send an email to hello@mahjongmalaysia.com. There is no contact form, so your message goes straight to the editor's inbox. Also, we never add your address to a mailing list.

When to contact us

Most messages fall into one of four groups. So, to help us reply quickly, tell us which one yours is in the subject line.

  • A rule or score that differs from your table. Tell us where you play, for example "Penang, family game", and how your house rule works. Regional variations help us improve the Malaysian mahjong rules guide.
  • A competition or club. Send the event name, date, venue, organiser and a public link. Then we add it to the competitions page once we can check the source.
  • A shop or supplier. Include the business name, city and a website or marketplace store link. However, we only list businesses we can verify, as the mahjong shop guide explains.
  • A translation fix. Spotted awkward Malay or Chinese wording? Point us to the page and the sentence, and we will fix it.

What happens after you contact us

First, we read your message and check any sources you send. Next, if you point out an error, we correct the page. Finally, we reply to let you know what changed. In most cases this takes a few working days.

Because we check everything by hand, we may ask a follow-up question. For example, we might ask for a photo of a tournament poster or a link to an event page.

What we can't help with

We can't settle money disputes from a game, recommend gambling venues or give legal advice. For general background on the law, see the mahjong FAQ. Likewise, we can't repair automatic tables, but our automatic table guide lists sellers that offer servicing.
